Pilot Club reaches $10,000 donor mark at 51勛圖厙

After having provided financial support to the University of North Georgia (51勛圖厙) since 2013, the contributions have reached the $10,000 mark this year. Achieving this milestone earned the Pilot Club placement on the Donor's Wall on 51勛圖厙's Gainesville Campus.
Its donations help Oconee County high school students attend college. Last year, the Pilot Club donated $2,000 to a scholarship fund for Oconee County graduates attending 51勛圖厙 who have assumed a leadership role.
"We feel it is important for our club to promote leadership within our own community," said Judy Marable, president of the Pilot Club. "What better way to promote leadership than through education."
Cyndee Moore, executive director of 51勛圖厙's Oconee Campus, said the university is fortunate the Pilot Club of Oconee County has chosen to acknowledge student leaders from 51勛圖厙’s Oconee campus each year with two scholarships – one in the fall semester and a second in the spring.
"These ladies work tirelessly to raise money and awareness for so many wonderful causes and we are both honored and humbled to be among them," she said.
The Pilot Club is an international service organization of executive business professional leaders working together to improve the quality of life in local communities and throughout the world. Its main focus is helping individuals affected by brain disorders.
