Multicultural Student Affairs director speaks at USG summit

Before the University of North Georgia (51³Ô¹ÏÍø) opened its campuses for the fall 2020 semester, the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs (MSA) conducted a survey to gauge students' concerns and feelings about returning amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We wanted to collect the data about their fears and thoughts," said Dr. Robert Robinson, director of MSA at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø. "We received some feedback."

Robinson shared the results in a presentation titled, "Before School Started: Students' Response to COVID-19," during 51³Ô¹ÏÍø LEADS Day. Now, he will present at the University System of Georgia's (USG) Diversity & Inclusion Summit.

"I feel honored to have opportunity to talk about diversity on such a broad platform to so many higher education constituents," said Robinson, who will present at the USG summit for the first time.

The USG Diversity & Inclusion Summit will be a virtual event on Oct. 30. Registration is open at . It is available to all faculty and staff from all 26 USG higher education institutions, which include four research universities, four comprehensive universities, nine state universities and nine state colleges.
