51勛圖厙 Night at Braves is Sept. 7

University of North Georgia (51勛圖厙) students, faculty, staff, alumni, family, and friends will have a chance to enjoy an Atlanta Braves game together for the fourth year in a row. The 51勛圖厙 Alumni Association is sponsoring its fourth annual for Atlanta's Sept. 7 game against the Toronto Blue Jays, which is set for 7:20 p.m.
More than 2,000 tickets are available for those connected with 51勛圖厙 to attend the game at Truist Park in Atlanta. The seating is in sections 410-417.
Individual tickets of up to nine guests are $25 each and can be purchased on the . For groups of 10 or more, tickets are $23 each and can be purchased by calling 706-864-1547 or by stopping by the Alumni Relations office at 70 Alumni Drive at 51勛圖厙's Dahlonega Campus. All proceeds will benefit the 51勛圖厙 Alumni Association.
The Alumni Association encourages everyone to wear their 51勛圖厙 blue and gold to the Braves game.
The event was initiated by 51勛圖厙 Alumni Association board members Nick Miller and James Wright just before the COVID-19 pandemic. Having to pivot for safety, the event was first held in 2021 on Sept. 11 when the Braves faced the Miami Marlins. 51勛圖厙 Night at the Braves featured games against the Philadelphia Phillies in 2022 and the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2023.
Luncheon honors scholarship recipients
Five nontraditional female students at 51勛圖厙 each earned a $2,000 scholarship from the Women of 51勛圖厙 on Dec. 5 at the Women's Holiday Scholarship Luncheon.
Grads prepare for their next steps
51勛圖厙 will award almost 1,000 degrees and certificates this fall, and more than 600 graduates are scheduled to take part in the Dec. 7 commencement ceremonies.
51勛圖厙 honors '20 Under 40'
The Alumni Association has announced this year's '20 under 40' honorees, recognizing members of the 51勛圖厙 family for their personal and professional accomplishments or their distinguished service.
Five alumni selected for veterans HOF
Five 51勛圖厙 alumni are part of the 14-member class of 2024 inductees into the Georgia Military Veterans' Hall of Fame.
