Moonshot:

51³Ô¹ÏÍø will launch the “Leadership Foundry” to coordinate the delivery of a signature leadership experience for every student on every campus (with full implementation for all students by Fall 2027).

Characteristics: (1) competency-based approaches, (2) upskilling & reskilling

Moonshot:

51³Ô¹ÏÍø will align key workforce programs (nursing, education, business & entrepreneurship and agriculture) based on efficiency & speed to credential with full connectivity to industry ensuring 95% placement and by 2030, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø will become the “go to” learning hub for innovation & entrepreneurship north of the “I-285 perimeter”.

Characteristics: (1) community connectivity and fluid movement of students, faculty and community members in and out, (2) innovation & entrepreneurship

Moonshot:

By 2032, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø will develop and build an arts ecosystem on the Gainesville campus – an inter-disciplinary, arts innovation hub – which will become the focal point of the arts in the southeastern United States.

Characteristics: (1) leverage interdisciplinary sciences, (2) create applied programs which lie at the intersections

Moonshot:

51³Ô¹ÏÍø will leverage inter-disciplinarity to become a disruptive STEM applied learning “go to” university across physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, cyber, computer science, data, AI, and…engineering.

Characteristics: (1) better communities equals a better tomorrow, (2) establish strong linkages with key partners across the US Government, state/local organizations, and academia, (3) leverage our success in languages, logistics, cyber, criminal justice/POST, and strategic & security studies

Moonshot:

By 2030, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø will synchronize programs in intelligence, diplomacy, and homeland defense to become the nationally recognized, first-choice university for building the next generation of national security workforce experts for the local, regional, state, and national level.

Characteristics: (1) Ground our vision in timeless need for leadership | values, peak human performance and embracing technology as a disruptor, (2) leverage our role as the Army’s senior military college and the Military College of Georgia, (3) serve the Army more by growing the Corps to 1000 cadets, (4) deliver the Corps across all 5 campuses (power of 5)

Moonshot:

By 2028, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø will deliver the best officer development program in America and grow the Corps of Cadets to 1000 cadets and increase our annual commissioning to 120+ Army 2nd Lieutenants.  

Characteristics: (1) win the Learfield Cup, (2) create value to elevate the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø brand and drive competitiveness, (3) deliver athletics to every campus to envelop northeast Georgia with Nighthawk nation

Moonshot:

51³Ô¹ÏÍø will deliver the best NCAA Division II athletics program in America.

By 2030, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø will become the First Choice for First Gen in Georgia and will serve as the USG model for access, opportunity, and support – leading first-generation student retention and graduation rates.

By 2030, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø will become a federally recognized Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI), reflecting the communities which 51³Ô¹ÏÍø serves.

By 2030, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø will become a university which provides every alumnus affordable education for a lifetime fully aligned with the marketplace with opportunities for all learners to join along the way.

By 2030, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø will become a premier destination for student veterans and their family members and increase veteran enrollment to over 5% of total enrollment.
