College of Education

The 51³Ô¹ÏÍø College of Education (COE) is unlike any other in the nation because it features a unique mix of learning centers, institutes, and programs. We are the home for the and the Appalachian Studies Center, which was designated by the Georgia General Assembly as the state’s official center for the study of Appalachia in 2005.

Nationally recognized degree programs in kinesiology, teacher certification programs, and professional programs at the graduate level prepare students for dynamic careers. 51³Ô¹ÏÍø offers immersive programs that provide real-time experience in the field. Teacher certification candidates spend more time in the classroom than at typical universities, and internship opportunities in kinesiology often lead to jobs right out of college.
